PROJECT PROFILE LOCATION

Empower the World Foundation (EWF) is a Non-profit making Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered on 20th April 2012 by the Republic of Kenya, Office of the President, Ministry of State for the National Heritage and Culture (OP.218/051/12-0118/8003) under the NGO Registration Bureau. EWF was formed mainly to focus on the education for the bright needy and vulnerable children in Kenya. Its headquarters is based at Naivasha in Nakuru County. So far we have been able to support children from Narok, Nakaru and Baringo Counties alone due to the scarcity of funds.

PROJECTS:

Education

During the one year (2012-2013) in operation it has managed to support nine students in University with Fees, accommodation and their financial maintenance support. Among the students supported, eight are in university and one in College. Apart from university and college, these boys and girls were supported as follows;

  • 36 students got scholarships at St Francis Xavier Girls Boarding School.
  • 41 students from Mji wa Neema Children’s Home supported with school fees-Arch Bishop Ndingi boys boarding school.
  • 14 children from Mji wa Neema got schloarships in various institutions of learning.

Other Projects

  • Borehole drilling in St Francis Xavier girls boarding secondary school.
  • Renovation of Arch Ndingi boys boarding school.
  • Purchase hundred mattress for Koisitei Parish in East Pokot for youth and other group seminars and workshops.
  • Purchase of fridge for a health Centre in Kositei in East Pokot.
  • Sacred heart primary school was supported with learning materials.
  • Purchased a hundred fabric bags for selling outside Kenya for fundraising for the organization.
